IWC Race Night Gala at SIHH, Geneva, Switzerland 2013 - partnered with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team

At this year's IWC race night gala reception for the SIHH watch exhibition around 100 journalists once again lined both sides of the red carpet as IWC's 800 friends and guests arrived. The event marked the launch of the new Ingenieur watch collection, as well as the celebration of IWC's new three year partnership with the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

The Exhibition Hall in Geneva’s Palexpo Hall was turned into a gigantic Formula One scenario. Upon their arrival in the garage area the guests were greeted with an interactive entertainment program featuring racing exhibits, mechanical showcases, driving simulators and remote-control race cars. In keeping with the racing theme, the food was served from tool boxes and the hostesses were also dressed to match the occasion.

The dining area was designed to resemble a race track and featured a gigantic stage from which Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey, who, ignoring all the surrounding horsepower, decided to turn up on a scooter and compèred the guests through the glamorous IWC Race Night. The guests were kept entertained with a simulated pit stop scenario featuring various prominent guests and an appearance by Nico Rosberg in a Formula One race car. A thrilling private concert by British band Jamiroquai formed the musical highlight of the evening, after arriving at the IWC Race Night gala dinner in a Mercedes SLS AMG especially designed for the event.
