For the UK launch of the all new Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV 4x4, Russells Transport were asked to collect a number of pre-production Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 4x4 SUV models from across Europe. These came from Italy, Germany and France and were delivered to the Alfa Romeo headquarters in the UK. Built in the Cassino plant, situated between Naples and Rome, the All-New Alfa Romeo Stelvio 4x4, Alpha Romeo's first ever SUV, is created alongside the stunning Alfa Romeo Giulia. Two years ago the Nürburgring Ring SUV lap-record was set by the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, in 7 minutes & 59 seconds making it the first SUV to pull off a sub-8 minute time. However, the Cayenne's dominance is now over, as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio just broke the Nürburgring Ring record.
Alfa's Quadrifoglio SUV, with its Ferrari-based 510-horsepower twin-turbo V6 tore around the north loop of the Ring in just 7 minutes and 51 seconds, making it 8 seconds quicker than the Cayenne, and a bonkers 23 seconds faster than the Land Rover Range Rover SVR, the previous record holder.
As part of the launch of the new model, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 4x4, its first ever SUV, Russells Transport were required to move the Alpha Romeo Stelvio 4x4 SUV vehicles to many destinations across the UK and then returned them back to their respective countries after the launch events were completed.
Being a new model, the Alpha Romeo Stelvio SUV brought several challenges, as the sizes of the vehicles were unknown, but as always the moves were completed with no problems or issues.
