The Aston Martin DB-5 Superleggera car is a classic luxury grand tourer that was made by Aston Martin and designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.  Released in 1963, the Aston Martin DB5 Superleggera was an evolution of the final series of the  DB4. The DB series was named honouring David Brown (the head of Aston Martin from 1947–1972). The Classic Aston Martin DB5 Superleggera is famous for being the first and most recognised cinematic James Bond car, first appearing in  Goldfinger   (James Bond 007) in 1964.  The Aston Martin DB5 Superleggera was immensely popular, with demand swiftly outstripping the factory's ability to supply following the film's release in 1964. In total, 1,021 examples of the Aston Martin DB-5 Superleggera were built between 1963 and 1965.
