New Mercedes Actros 1851 joins Russell's Fleet.

Quite posibly one of our most impressive transporters yet has joined us this month.With a monsterous 510hp engine fitted underneath the 4 car bespoke enclosed car transporter body and a gigaspace cab this is bound to turn some heads.

Our latest new Mercedes-Benz Actros is “the pride of the fleet” with lots of features across both the chassis cab and bespoke built body.

The drawbar unit has a bespoke built body specially designed and built for moving vehicles in an enclosed and safe environment.

Extras features of the body and trailer include most importantly a raising roof. The roof can be lifted for both loading purposes but also for the transporter to run with the roof raised. This gives an extra 500mm of internal height in both the unit and drawbar trailer.

Another feature that is not standard is the full length lifting deck in the trailer. This is built with both extended vehicles in mind and also shorter Vehicles. The trailer is capable of loading 2 limousine sized cars or 4 smaller size city or urban cars.

A full length tail ramp on the trailer and pull out ramps are fitted as standard along with a hydrualic winch. Additional extras on the body were full length doors on both sides of the unit and trailer meaning complete access around all cars when loading and off loading, this minimises any damage when securing and enter end exiting vehicles. All ramps and hydrualic features are also operational from a wireless handheld remote control.

Alcoa durabrite wheels are fitted throughout the truck and trailer.

With regards to the chassis cab the spec is endless. Safety is top of the list with the active brake assist 4 safety pack fitted along with Proximity Control Assist.

The gigaspace cab fitted with a 510hp engine is the largest cab offered by mercedes Benz.

Leather seats with massage and heated functions, microwave, fridge, fully opening sunroof, bi xenon headlights are just some of the added features chosen to make the driver feel at home.
